Seriously though, that much power plus AWD in a car that small sounds like a helluva lot of fun!

Great now we're going to have sorority girls crashing into everything faster.

I kid.

Sorority girls get basic 1.8T, FWD models, or Jettas...

Fun fact: that is exactly the same power output as my g-pa's DTS V8. That car is quick. This thing is 1500lbs lighter, and does not have a transmission designed to keep old folk's dentures in. It ought to be a tiny pocket rocket.

That almost does it for me. But no, not quite. Some of that is Audi's reputation though.

Not sorority girls with really rich parents

I still find it kind of meh

Electric power steering

I think the engine is mounted transverse

It's pretty much a sedan version of a Euro hot hatch

Except it will cost a lot more

"Here's your first car, baby. What? You wanted something better? Well tough tanned testicles. You aren't going to use everything I worked hard to get just to impress your friends. I'll make you a deal; You can get a $40k A3 instead with your own money and credit, and I will match you zero dollars."

I test drove an S4 once. I hated it.

It felt like being in a video game. The steering was so artificial. Everything was numb and digital.

I better not test drive the new M4. If it feels like a current Audi I will be sad.

Did GM stick with hydraulic power steering in the ATS? The ATS-V excites me more than the new crop of Euro sedans.

The ATS has electric steering, but it's been tuned very well apparently.

Did you not have rich kids at your college?

I had to park my Mercury behind the srat house because it wasn't an Audi, Bimmer, or Benz :P

Hahaha, that's precious. For every one of those parents, seems like there were 100 like my ex's dad, who refused to have his boys drive anything less than a BMW. Didn't you know kids are just another way to show off your new money?

"Nothin' but the best for my kids. BMWs because they deserve it."

Sounds like an excellent way to raise a bunch of entitled twats who won't put in the dues needed to reap actual success without mommy and daddy's help. Excellent skill set for the coming era of limited resources and employment opportunities.

Admittedly, this isn't an issue if you've got 10s or 100s of millions and don't have an issue with trust fund baby syndrome.

step 1: buy a low milage 70s or 80s model BMW or Benz

Step 2: laugh at the newer cars always having wiring and valvetrain/transmission issues

Step 3: drive your perfectly reliable German car to their GF's house

Step 4: fuck their bitch

Step 5: get money (not via prostitution )

LOL. Not worth the hassle in college considering the Mercury was still running and I had the Ninja for senior year, and I'm pretty sure I was the only one in my sorority house to have a girlfriend. Yes, you read that correctly.

Man what is it with the old people and that DTS? I see like 5 of those a day (Florida, derp) and 100% of the time, an old person is driving it

The fact that is a huge, comfy, domestic luxury barge? I didnt realize there was any question as to why they like it. If there is any car made in the last 5 years that was aimed solely at people over 70, the DTS is it.

It's just unfortunate that it has front-biased Haldex, which outweighs basically any potential positive aspects of the car.
